Does My Insurance Cover This?

Many extended health benefit plans cover registered dietitian services. Coverage varies by plan; some cover $300–$1,000 or more annually. Check your plan documents or call your provider to confirm your entitlement before booking.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No referral needed. You can book directly. Some insurance plans require a physician referral for reimbursement, so check your policy first.

Will I get a receipt I can submit to my insurer?

Yes. You will receive an official receipt after each session that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Does BC MSP cover dietitian services?

No. MSP does not cover registered dietitian services. Coverage comes through extended health benefits: employer plans, union benefits, or individual policies.

What if I don’t have extended health coverage?
